We have now all gotten our shots. It did hurt a little but it wasn't too bad. We got shots for Yellow Fever, Tetanus, Typhoid, and Hepatitis A. We got all the necessary pills, like malaria and diarrhea pills. We still need to be careful about the water that we drink and food we eat.
This blog is contributed by the entire Sud Trip team. We will be posting up until the trip, during the trip, and after the trip. We are going March 11-22
1. To encourage and support the staff and students at Sud
2. To learn and to come to greater cultural awareness of their story in AFrica
3. To bring their story back to LDCSS via photos and videos in order to strengthen financial support into the future.
4. To pray on location and to pray here after we return.
5. To investigate how we can help them in the future.
Why do we do this?
1. To participate in the great commission of Jesus.
2. To participate in the mission and purpose of LDCSS: " Where Faith and Learning Meet Life", and "Integrating Christian Faith, Learning, and Living for a life of Christian service"
3. To become more globaly aware
4. To develop a servant heart and to live beyond ourselves.
5. To advocate for others
6. To grow personally closer to God.
Ouch! But better safe than sorry :):)
